If you've worked today, you probably don't want to read this entry!

I had today off for working all last weekend, and I get next Monday as well. Deb was in at work today earning us some money, so I got to practice at being a househusband.

And let me tell ya, it's being great.

It's been a warm close humid day, a shorts and barefeet day. A day for walking. Matthew and I did a little tour around where we live this morning. I love pushing him along in the pram, he sits there quietly and just looks out at everything.

And all the other young parents out pushing their babies and all the old ladies walking along look at him and smile at me as we walk along.

(don't tell deb, but we kinda stopped off for a latte and caramel chocolate slice along the way)

He fell asleep on the way home and I did all the cleaning/tidying things and played on the computer while he slept on.

We bopped along to Guided by Voices - me doing dishes and he bouncing up and down in his bouncer thingie, smiles creasing his face as he discovered the joy of movement.

And I'm thinking I've got three more days at home, and things are good all round, and there's not much cooking to do for dinner tonight, and we've the bobby dylan section of "dancing in the street" on tape to watch, and we've made Friday nights an internet-free zone.
