7 - Another Red Wine And Whisky Fuelled Entry There's a BBC documentary playing on tv at the moment called "dancing in the street" - it's a ten part history of rock and roll. It's been on before, but is so good, we're watching it again and taping it. I don't exaggerate by saying it's an important historical document. Tonight was part two. About the girl groups and producer led songs of the early '60's. Wonderful wonderful stuff. Ronettes, Shirelles, Drifters, Righteous Brothers, Beach Boys .............. We had John over for dinner and cooked a roast lamb. Which is a bigger deal than it sounds, as it's the first roast lamb we've ever cooked. But, importantly, he brought a bottle of red wine, and we had just finished it when the documentary started. There's a wonderful feeling I get, when I've had just enough to drink and some great music is playing. I am very good humoured, I'm witty and I'm so in tune with the music. I just want to get up and dance. I would have felt embarrassed doing that with John here, though, so I settled for drinking some whisky and getting more good humoured and witty. Unfortunately I drank just enough to forget what I said that was so witty. Oh well, tomorrow I'm back at work after a four day weekend. Normal, angst-ridden, depressedatwork entries will resume then!
