October 29 - Control Of That Damn Computer

It was the toll house cookies fault. A friend, who we'd lost touch with, had sent us the recipe about six years ago. We've never made toll house cookies in all that time.

Then, a few months ago, after Deb had started staying home with Matthew, she put all the ingredients on our shopping list one day.

"i'm going to make those cookies for you mike, now that i'm a stay at home women", she said

Well, she never did. And it's been a standing joke for us ever since.

Except that today when I came home, sitting in a big pile on the table, cooling under a tea towel. were approx 4 dozen toll house cookies. They are yummy, and Deb's like, "remember to take them for your lunch tomorrow mike".

Anyway, we got to thinking about our friend and did a search for her name on the internet. We found someone with the same name - it's not a common one - and decided to e-mail her and find out.

So, I'm sitting typing, and Deb's standing behind me.

*type type type type*

*exasperated sigh*

*look over shoulder* - "what?"

"no, tell her this - blah, blah, blah"

"ok" - *type type type type*

"oh look, just let me do it ok?"

"what? - just tell me what to type, i can do it"

"i'm much faster at doing this than you, let me sit there"

"fine" - *slam keyboard into desk* - *stomp out of room*

"ok, what shall i say?"

*pissed off look back into room*

"what's up with you?"

"you got real control problems with the computer don't you?"

"no i don't"

"you DO! - every time we're together, you always have to be in the driver's seat"

"no i don't"

"you do, you've just done it again"

*silence*

*silence*

*soft voice* - "but that's good isn't it?"

How do you answer that? *smile*
