November 13 - Home

In the last 9 days I've been to approximately 30 separate meetings, slept in six different beds, driven nearly 2,000 kms, drunk more wine, beer and coffee than I should have, talked so much I have my pitch down by rote now, and slept a lot less than I've needed.

It's now 1.07am and I can't sleep.

Damn, it's good to be home!!!

It's been an interesting trip. More to talk about tomorrow, possible job/life decisions being made.

Damn, it's good to be back writing. I've missed this.

Some random images from the trip.

Humidity in the north of NZ. Harder to sleep at night, me tossing and turning in bed.

Enjoying once again driving through New Zealand. Getting into the groove of driving - I try to corner as serenely as possible. Sneaking looks at myself in the rear view mirror cos I'm wearing these clip-on sunglass lenses over my glasses and I think I look CHiPS-cool.

Talking and talking and talking. And listening. And only overtly yawning during a conversation once.

Missing debbiematthewgumptess.

Vacillating between moments of dread - what am i doing here? i wanna leave this job now! - and moments of excitement - hey, i can see some things happening, maybe i can make this work. -

Watching the sun make streaming patterns of light in the clouds.

Ummm, did I say I had a shitload of meetings?
