Dissed
Tonight I'm in the living room with the family. Joshua holds up his latest B-Daman (a kind of robot/transformer-like thingee that shoots marbles out)
Josh: Mum, do you know what this B-Daman is called? (Well, I did happen to know, because I'd bought it)
Mum: Yes. It's Chrome Zephyr. (Who makes up these names?!)
Josh: Wrooonnnggg... it's Winged Zephyr. See? He's got Winged Zephyr's mask on... so he's Winged Zephyr... DUH!!
Have you ever had a four year old say DUH to you with such obvious glee? Matthew and Michael cracked up laughing...
Michael: You've just been dissed by a four year old!
Sigh.
COMMENTS
lol!
I also see you've been blog spammed :( I got about 10 "someone has responded to your post" emails and knew what had happened straight away. I had the same thing with pmachine a while back and got 300 in two days!
yeah.. i just went and deleted them all. i had fixed the comment spam problem, but i had to reinstall pmachine, and obviously undid the fix.
sigh.
i'm sorry :(
I am so sick of comment spam. I don't get a lot; since I use a content management system of my own creation, most spammers which target popular systems don't work with my site. But one Russian spammer seems to have done so, for some reason, and he's been hitting me over and over in the past week. And he's either spoofing IP addresses or controlling zombie PCs to do it, so just blocking IP addresses doesn't work. I've managed to develop some filters that are preventing any of his stuff from getting posted while doing a minimum of damage to real comments, but it's annoying. Anything good that ever happens on the net, before long the spammers invade and spray their graffiti all over it. :-P
Steve Martin had a joke about how to cut down on crime: death penalty for parking tickets. Sounds about right for spammers.
no need to be sorry - it's much easier for me to delete emails that it is to delete comments ;)
