23 - Looking Ahead ..... End of year wind down, one more day at work, then glorious days off until 5 January. Next year things are looking like this. I'll be working full time until mid-February or so, then take a couple of weeks off on annual leave. Debbie's sister and nephew are visiting from Maine for a month, so we'll take them on a tour of the South Island. When I get back in March I'll start working part-time, three days a week. The other two days I'm gonna be at home. Deb will probably start working three days a week as well, so the day we overlap at work, my parents will look after Matthew. I think it could be the making of me. I need some sort of a break. I need to shake my life up some. I need some time to myself. Money wise we'll probably be about the same, maybe a little better off. But Deb will probably start back full time in June, so it will be a lot better then. But soul-wise, it'll be so much better. We'll be sharing bringing up Matthew fully. We'll both have the stimulus of work and adult company. And we'll both have time, at home, to ourselves. I'm going to look at doing some web design/maintenance work from home. I'm convinced there's a niche market doing web-sites for sports organisations. That may be something that can grow. Most of all though, I'm looking forward to a bit less pressure. To some time to reassess where I'm going, who I am, what I want. Deb's right that I haven't been "me" this year.
