Those In My Life

When I did my thesis, I credited
Debbie as a virtual co-creator of it. I feel she's been that for my life since we
met. We've had wonderful adventures to tell our children about. We've climbed mountains together. I want to be an old man, laughing with Debbie at the dalliances of our grandchildren. |

I saw Matthew being taken from the
womb. He has changed our lives. I hope he grows up curious and calm, adventurous and able. I hope he travels the world and I hope he comes to know himself. I hope he leads a long, fulfilled and happy life. |

We went to the SPCA to get a cat.
It don't work that way. Tess chose us. A little six month old kitten, meowing and rubbing
up against our legs. Looking up at us. She's a wonderful, intelligent, jealous, intolerant cat. She plays games of hide and seek with me. I stalk her around the house. She sits on my lap as I type. She has scratched me more times than is good for either her or me. |

Gump, well Gump is kinda unique.
She started as a kitten with our next door neighbours, but ended up spending so much time
with us that we've adopted her. Tess hates it. Gump is endlessly amusing and endlessly stupid. She is a psychopath cat on an endless killing spree of small animals. She's loving and good natured. She goes her own way. |
